Snowdonia Elopement Photographer

For Steffan & Becki’s Snowdonia Elopement things got off to a bit of vague start really. They’d literally only started hatching a plan while sending me their enquiry. If previous experience has taught me anything it’s that – as far as elopement photography enquiries are concerned – the vaguer the better!

The couple are going to keep their postponed wedding date in August 2021 for a big celebration with all of their friends but like so many others – all they wanted was to marry in 2020! And with Steffan’s family living in Snowdonia, it was while they considered all of their options that they decided on a small family elopement in the mountains.

Becki mentioned that she loved my sense of adventure (brilliant!) and once I had confirmed that I was available for elopement photography in August – it looked like a plan was coming together.

In the absence of any aisle to walk down, the couple decided on a “first look” early on in the day and we ended up doing this by a small bridge in the woods. It was so lovely! Having originally planned on spending some time walking up to the top of some nearby waterfalls on Steffan & Becki’s Snowdonia Elopement day, we had to change their timeline slightly and start the day a little later than planned due to a storm causing havoc on the day. I’d say being a super chilled out wedding & elopement photographer in North Wales is definitely one of my strong points. I’m always more than happy to be flexible and accommodate any last minute changes. Being able to do just that definitely made for a stressfree, meaningful & enjoyable elopement day for Becki & Steffan.

After waiting for their family & close friends to catch up, we headed to a super scenic spot for a beautiful ceremony led by a family friend and a stormy picnic right next to a fast-flowing river. It was a truly magical day and the memories made, I’m sure, will be treasured forever.

Here are some of my favourite images from this beautiful Snowdonia Elopement. Featuring high winds, sheep and 2 families coming together to celebrate one couple’s love.
