Below are some pictures from a small wedding I shot there a couple of years ago. This couple had previously visited the falls and fell in love with its unique spirit and presence. At the foot of the waterfall is Tan y Pistyll, which translates into ‘little house under the waterfall’. It houses a cafe and the venue has a license to hold a limited number of civil weddings and partnerships per year. For couples that want to enjoy a marriage blessed by the spirit of nature, feeling the presence of the waterfall absolutely adds an element of enchantment.

Wedding Photographer in North Wales

For this small but fun wedding at Pistyll Rhaeadr, we met up just before the ceremony. They’d only booked a couple of hours wedding photography coverage for their micro wedding in North Wales. Having waited 35 years to say their I do’s, the couple just wanted a short and relaxed wedding ceremony. They asked for some group photographs of the wedding party and their 2 dogs at the base of the fall. And after the official wedding ceremony, they took their best friends and their son to their favourite restaurant for a small Covid-restricted celebration for 6.
