It was pretty obvious just how much love and affection Ellie & Lauren have for each other right from the very moment I met the lesbian brides for their post-wedding photography adventure by a glacier lake. Having had to postpone their original wedding plans in Cornwall due to COVID, they managed to get legally married in Manchester during lockdown then travelled to Wales for their minimoon and post-wedding photography adventure afterwards. We’d talked about the couple exchanging some personal vows overlooking Snowdon and taking some relaxed photographs by the lake and that’s exactly what we ended up doing.

It was surprisingly warm on the day, so we walked around the glacier lake – dogs in tow – and took some beautiful photographs of the couple’s post-wedding adventure. Without giving too much away about the actual location, we were lucky enough to not see a single soul while making the most of this stunning Snowdonia backdrop – the light was beautiful and soft with some intermittent rain which was really atmospheric.

Ellie chose a comfortable orange dress that allowed her to move around freely and the couple wore walking boots to safely negotiate the somewhat boggy grounds. Welsh wedding laws may change soon and a stunning glacier lake location like this one lends itself perfectly to an intimate wedding or elopement experience in North Wales.
