Could I be the right LGBTQ+ wedding & elopement photographer based in Wales for you?

Planning a wedding as an LGBTQ+ couple can feel overwhelming, especially when searching for a photographer who truly gets you. There might be worries about whether your love will be celebrated authentically, fears of awkward poses that don’t feel like you, or concerns about finding someone who respects and embraces your story without hesitation.

It’s about so much more than just beautiful photos, right?

It’s about feeling seen, valued, and completely at ease on one of the most important days of your life. That’s where the right photographer makes all the difference, offering not just stunning images, but a safe, supportive space where your love takes center stage.

same-sex wedding planning

Planning your same-sex wedding and wondering which (if any!) traditional elements to include? The beauty of your LGBTQ+ wedding in the UK is that it can be as unique and totally, unapologetically you.

Who says you need a best man, maid of honour, or even a traditional walk down the aisle if it doesn’t feel right? Embrace what feels authentic! Love the idea of calling yourselves a “Broom” or a “Gride” instead of the usual labels? Go for it!

Your friends and family adore you for who you are – they’re not here to see you tick boxes or follow rules. This is your day to shine, celebrate your love, and do things your way. Because at the end of the day, the only tradition that matters is your happiness.

what to wear to your queer wedding

Anything goes when it comes to your wedding day style! Two suits, sparkly dinner jackets, two gorgeous white dresses, or even bespoke tuxedos for lesbians – it’s all about wearing what makes you feel amazing. Maybe a groom rocking a kilt? Why not? Some couples love dressing to the nines, while others prefer to keep it low-key.

If you’re planning to hit up a super scenic location after your same-sex wedding ceremony for those jaw-dropping, once-in-a-lifetime photos, you’ve got options. A dramatic, show-stopping wedding dress can make for epic shots, or you can slip into something a little more practical for a hike—because, let’s be honest, stunning and comfortable is a vibe too! Whatever you choose, it’ll be you, and it’ll be perfect.

How to elope anywhere in the UK

“I wish I could give all the stars! My Wife and I decided to cancel our big wedding and have a tiny registry office wedding and then a post-wedding adventure trip to Snowdonia where we pencilled in a shoot in the mountains with Babs. We met at a little pub and drove up together to a spot near a lake where we clambered out and headed up for some photos! Babs brought her gorgeous dogs too which was a treat, they loved it as much as us!
Babs made us comfortable from the first second. She is the kind of photographer who runs her business like family, getting to know you personally before the big day. We had had loads of chats before we met so it kind of felt like meeting a friend! We were nervous and didn’t know what to expect but Babs made us feel so at home.. Which is kind of mad seeing as we were 100 miles from our home and up to our thighs in the middle of a lake in Wales!! Babs led the shoot with a comforting sureness, so we had no awkward moments of finding a good pose or spot ourselves. It was really easy. We treasure the memories of our adventure that day just as much as the photos. It was beautiful time with my new wife and a spectacular adventure. Even when it was pouring with rain!
I’m not even sure where to start with the photos that Babs captured. Oh my god, they are so dreamy, dramatic and stunning. I’m not sure if this will make sense…. but they *look* how it *felt* to be stood on a mountain kissing my wife. Just magic.
If you’re looking for a Photographer that will match your enthusiasm, plan something incredibly special and capture dreamy photographs for you.. I can promise that Babs is the right choice.”
