I’m Babs, a North Wales-based elopement photographer for couples who want their wedding day to feel free, simple and completely their own.
I spend a pretty big chunk of my own life exploring Wales – walking in the mountains, finding quiet places with my 3 collies and disappearing off in the van whenever I get the chance – so helping couples plan a wedding day outdoors here feels very natural to me.
I can help you find somewhere that suits the kind of day you actually want, work out timings that make sense and keep the whole thing relaxed. Then, on the day, I’ll photograph what happens without turning it into one long photoshoot.
Because the point isn’t to come to Snowdonia for photographs. It’s to have a really good wedding day here. The photographs come from that.

Your wedding day comes first
I care just as much about helping you have an incredible day as I do about photographing it.
That might mean finding somewhere quiet for your vows, working out a timeline that doesn’t have you watching the clock, planning around the weather, leaving time for a walk or a swim, stopping somewhere for food, or simply giving you enough space to actually enjoy where you are.
You won’t spend your elopement being moved from one photo spot to another. We’ll plan a day around what you genuinely want to do, and I’ll photograph it as we go.
Even if they’re still a bit vague, we’ll figure it out.
What happens when you contact me? Here’s how it works:
Tell me what you know so far.
You don’t need to have a plan yet. A rough date, who you’d like to have there and an idea of what you’re drawn to is plenty to start with. I’ll let you know if I’m available, answer any questions, and we can go from there.
Secure your date.
Once we’ve had a chat and you’re happy to go ahead, I’ll send over your contract and booking invoice. Once they’re sorted, your date is in the diary.
We start planning your day.
I’ll help with locations, timings and the practical details, and we’ll gradually put together a day that feels right for you. Nothing rigid or built around photographs – just a really good wedding day, with plenty of time to actually enjoy it.

I wish I could give all the stars!
My Wife and I decided to cancel our big wedding and have a tiny registry office wedding and then a post-wedding adventure trip to Snowdonia, where we pencilled in a day in the mountains with Babs. We met at a little pub and drove up together to a spot near a lake where we clambered out and headed up for some photos! Babs brought her gorgeous dogs too, which was a treat, they loved it as much as us!
Babs made us comfortable from the first second. She is the kind of photographer who runs her business like family, getting to know you personally before the big day. We had had loads of chats before we met, so it kind of felt like meeting a friend! We were nervous and didn’t know what to expect, but Babs made us feel so at home. Which is kind of mad, seeing as we were 100 miles from our home and up to our thighs in the middle of a lake in Wales!! Babs led the shoot with a comforting sureness, so we had no awkward moments of finding a good pose or spot ourselves. It was really easy. We treasure the memories of our adventure that day just as much as the photos. It was a beautiful time with my new wife and a spectacular adventure. Even when it was pouring with rain!
I’m not even sure where to start with the photos that Babs captured. Oh my god, they are so dreamy, dramatic and stunning. I’m not sure if this will make sense.. but they *look* how it *felt* to be stood on a mountain kissing my wife. Just magic.
