Wedding Photography in Gwytherin

A quick search on Google and you discover that this beautiful building in Gwytherin is in fact a magnificent decommissioned church in Conwy now privately owned. It’s a beautiful historic venue surrounded by stunning scenery that dates back to the Bronze Age. This former church holds unique civil ceremonies and is a place where you can create a truly individual wedding. Surrounded by ancient yews thousands of years old the site oozes atmosphere and charm. The venue welcomes all, civil weddings and partnerships.

Thanks to Storm Hannah the weather on this beautiful wedding day was not quite as bright and sunny as we’d hoped for. But rain on your wedding day is a sign of a good luck for a long and happy marriage and this magnificent Welsh Wedding Venue is stunning inside.

It’s located in Gwytherin, right opposite what used to be The Lion Inn pub, a great place for a few relaxed pre-wedding drinks and canapes for the groom and wedding guests while they wait for the bride to arrive. With an open fire roaring right in the middle of this cosy Welsh pub and the general buzz of excitement, time flies by! And it’s only a short walk across the road for the ceremony. 

Elopement Photography in Wales

It was such a beautiful and emotional ceremony! There might even have been a tear (or two) from the groom who looked totally blown away by his stunning bride who looked incredible in her bespoke top and skirt.

After a couple of quick shots outside the church dodging the rain underneath the gorgeous floral arch, we headed back inside for their champagne & cake reception. It was lovely to watch everyone mingle and have a super relaxed afternoon. Nice to meet Nick the super talented magician, too!

A coach then took family & friends back to their home for the weekend, the Old Rectory Country House in Glan Conwy with breathtaking views across the Conwy Estuary.
