Nestled in 9 acres of landscaped gardens and set in a beautiful elevated spot overlooking the hills of Flintshire, the thought of a spring wedding at Plas Hafod Country House had me excited for weeks.
Plas Hafod Country House is a lovely romantic venue with tons of gorgeous natural light streaming through the bedrooms and the ceremony room, perfect for spring weddings!

Mark & Sarah are lovely and an absolute dream to be with! As soon as I met them and their well-travelled Landrover on their adventure shoot, I knew they were super easy to get on with. It was Sarah who’d proposed to Mark the previous leap year day and they made a deal to get married the next time leap day fell on a Saturday. Which luckily for Sarah was only 4 years away!
We kicked off their spring wedding day at Plas Hafod with bridal prep and I even managed to pop in to say Hiiiiii to Mark and his very nervous best man. What started off a super sunny spring day ended up being a really wet one chucking buckets of sideways rain at us for the rest of the day.
Their ceremony was heartfelt and before they shared food with their loved ones they said a few nice words to their guests and then they enjoyed cake and danced their first dance as husband and wife. And then I somehow managed to convince them to come outside with me and get very cold, windblown and wet. And we shot some beautiful portraits. Happy days!
