There’s something about a glorious sunset in the hills that I just keep coming back for. Being a Denbigh Wedding Photographer and living not far from Llangollen makes it easy for me to pop into our glorious hills every single day. And our dogs sure love exploring!!

Beautiful pre-wedding photos by a Denbigh Wedding Photographer

My husband is a full team member of our local Search & Rescue Team and so I’ve done a fair bit of walking in this stunningly beautiful area. And I’m always keen to give my couples a bit of a mini adventure. When I first spoke to Sue and she mentioned their humanist wedding ceremony I knew instantly that a walk in the park just wouldn’t cut it. And so we met late afternoon on a sunny February Monday and went on a little hike. The sun was shining, the sheep were curious and I felt that my couple was totally digging the mood. Happy days!

North Wales Pre-Wedding Shoot at Sunset

We ended the shoot with a sheep in the frame and some twirling, what could be better than that!?

Russ and Sue are having a humanist ceremony in their garden in early summer and I can’t wait to see them again! They will celebrate with friends and family in tipis, share a feast with them all and with a bit of luck, we’ll have another glorious sunset!

In the meantime, feast your eyes on these beautiful photos we shot in Denbigshire. I am a natural Snowdonia Anglesey and North Wales wedding photographer based near Llangollen. My style is relaxed and emotive and most couples that book me are unconventional and love rustic, DIY and super scenic wedding venues across North Wales, in the Lake District and Yorkshire.

Pre-Wedding Shoot in the hills of North Wales
Pre-Wedding Shoot in the hills of North Wales Considering they are my fittest couple to marry this year, things got off to a somewhat slow start for this pre-wedding shoot in the hills of North Wales. There'd been a road accident and so I had to go on a 45-minute diversion. While I normally enjoy spending a full sunset with my couple, by the time I finally got to our destination the sun was already pretty low down. Luckily, Steve & Claire were happy to wait for me and so we were able to spend some time together while talking about their exciting wedding plans and getting used to being comfortable in front of the camera. They both enjo ...
