Perhaps you’re planning a little celebration with your closest family and friends, getting married somewhere lovely in the Welsh countryside or simply want a day that feels relaxed and free from too many expectations.
I’m Babs, a North Wales wedding photographer specialising in small weddings for couples who’d rather spend their day enjoying themselves than worrying about the photographs.
My approach is relaxed and mostly documentary. I’ll offer a little guidance when it’s needed, but otherwise I’m there to capture the people, the atmosphere and all those lovely moments that happen naturally.

Small Wedding Photography Across North Wales
There’s something really lovely about keeping your wedding small.
You get to spend proper time with the people you’ve invited, enjoy the little moments and celebrate without feeling like you need to entertain a room full of guests.
And North Wales has some wonderful places for doing exactly that.
From little countryside venues and historic buildings to lakeside celebrations and coastal hideaways, there are plenty of ways to plan a wedding that feels personal to you.
Perhaps that’s a simple ceremony followed by lunch with your family. Or a few hours celebrating together before heading somewhere outdoors for a little time as newlyweds.
You can include the traditions you love and leave out the ones you don’t.
I photograph very small weddings across Eryri (Snowdonia), the Llŷn Peninsula, Anglesey and the Vale of Llangollen.

Wedding Photography Without All the Fuss
You don’t need to know how to pose, feel particularly comfortable in front of the camera or plan your wedding around getting photographs.
Most of the time, I’ll quietly document what’s happening around me – the conversations, the laughter, the hugs and everything in between.
Of course, we’ll make time for some lovely photographs of the two of you, and I’m happy to organise a few family photographs too.
But I won’t have you disappearing for hours or constantly stopping what you’re doing for the camera.
If you’d love to head off for a little wander together after your ceremony, we can do that too.
The photographs matter, of course. But so does having a genuinely lovely wedding day.

A small wedding doesn’t necessarily need a full day of photography.
Whether you’re planning a short ceremony and a meal with your closest people or would love a few extra hours to explore somewhere together, we can work out coverage that suits your plans.
