A Mountain Walk near Blaenau Ffestiniog
We started the afternoon at their little holiday cottage before heading into the mountains around Blaenau Ffestiniog. The plan was simple: a lovely walk together, plenty of time to take in the views and somewhere quiet in Eryri for their vows later that evening.
One of my favourite details of the day was the wedding dress, which the bride had made herself. How talented is that?! Such a personal and creative touch to a day that was entirely their own.
We spent the afternoon wandering through the mountains, stopping along the way to enjoy the views across this quieter part of Snowdonia, before heading further inland for sunset.
Private Wedding Vows Overlooking a Lake in Eryri
Later that evening, we made our way to a secluded spot overlooking one of Eryri’s beautiful mountain lakes. As the sun began to set, they exchanged their vows privately, with the lake and mountains stretching out below. It all felt incredibly romantic.
What I particularly loved about their day was how simple it all was. An afternoon spent walking somewhere beautiful, followed by a quiet moment to make their promises to one another.
Nothing needed to be particularly elaborate. This was how they’d chosen to spend their wedding day — being outdoors together, with their photographs following naturally.
