Your Elopement Experience in Wales
Helping You Plan a Beautifully Simple Elopement in Eryri, Anglesey or the Llŷn Peninsula book your free consultation callThe Elopement Experience: from first chat to photos
Eloping isn’t about running away – it’s about choosing a day that feels calm, spacious, and honestly, you. Once you’ve sent that first enquiry, this is where the journey really begins. Everything from here is designed to feel relaxed, unrushed, and deeply personal, so you can look forward to an elopement in Wales that’s simple, meaningful, and beautifully connected to the landscape.
This page will walk you through exactly what the experience looks like from the moment you get in touch, right up to the moment you hold your finished photographs.
01. Your enquiry lands – and we begin crafting a day that feels like you
Once your enquiry arrives, I’ll send over a warm hello and a link to book your free consultation call. It’s always relaxed – no pressure, no expectations – just a chance for you to share what’s drawing you to Wales, what kind of atmosphere you’re imagining, and what feels important to you both.
Your plans can be vague at this point (most couples start here). We’ll figure it out as we move along.
02. A relaxed consultation call
We’ll arrange a call and chat through:
How you want your elopement to feel; which landscapes you’re drawn to (coast, mountains, lakes, woodland…); what matters most: privacy, simplicity, adventure, intimacy; any early dates or locations you’re considering; whether you’d like me to recommend suppliers, accommodation, or celebrants.
You’ll get a sense of whether this feels like the right fit – most couples say this is the time when everything starts feeling very real.
03. Secure your date
If it feels right, you’ve got your date, and we secure it with:
A signed agreement, a booking fee and your chosen photography or elopement package.
After that? You can start to get very excited. Your elopement is officially in motion.
04. Personal planning guidance
Once booked in, this is when the experience deepens.
You’ll receive:
Location suggestions personalised to your wish list; seasonal advice; accommodation recommendations (if wanted); supplier suggestions (if wanted); ceremony guidance; legal requirements + symbolic ceremonies; an intentional timeline that keeps the day calm, simple, unhurried and 100% shaped to suit you.
You’re never expected to have it all “figured it out”. We plan it together, step by step.
05. Your bespoke elopement timeline
Once the pieces are in place, I create a custom timeline that flows naturally with the light, the location, the weather patterns, but most importantly – one that feels right to you!
Nothing rushed, nothing rigid – just thoughtful pacing so the whole day feels like an experience, not an event.
06. Your elopement day
When the day arrives, it unfolds quietly and beautifully.
You get space to be fully yourselves; a calm presence guiding you through the landscape; someone who knows the terrain, the weather, and the light; gentle prompts when needed, otherwise letting moments unfold naturally.
If you need a witnesses, I’m more than happy to step in.
We’ll wander, pause, explore, breathe it all in – and create honest, emotional photographs that feel like you.
07. A first look at your memories
You’ll receive a small preview gallery the very next day, something to enjoy over coffee or a slow morning together.
Your full gallery arrives within 6-8 weeks after your elopement day (this can go up to 12 weeks during peak summer season) as a beautifully curated collection ready to download, print, and relive whenever you want.
08. Albums & artwork
For some of you, your elopement isn’t meant to live just on a digital screen.
If you’d like an album or wall art, you can add this to your package at a later time and I’ll help you create something timeless – simple, tactile, and built to last for decades. Beautiful pieces that carry the emotion of the day long after it’s over.
Eloping or a micro wedding is the right fit for you if:
You want presence over performance – a stripped-back day with room to breathe, fewer moving parts, and time to actually feel it all. Freedom matters too: choose the place, pace and timing that suit you, whether that’s a small legal ceremony with the fam followed by a relaxed picnic, an afternoon on an advenure before reuniting with your fam for fish & chips on the beach OR a quiet exchange of vows at sunrise or sunset, just the two of you (or maybe with your kids and/or dogs), weekday or weekend.
You’d rather go less-but-better with your budget – invest only in what matters (a cosy stay, travel, photography) and skip the extras you don’t need. You’re happiest when things are calm and unhurried, with intimate vows and a day shaped around the two of you instead of putting on a show.
You’d like it to be just the two of you OR with only a small circle around you – kids and a handful of favourite people are welcome (dogs, too) – so it stays relaxed and personal. And if lo-fi luxury speaks to you – unfussy, nature-led, quietly indulgent – you’ll love simple, personalised plans, thoughtful details, and time to savour them.
Included: planning, photography, vintage camcorder clips, aerial footage (weather & circumstances permitting).
