Pre-wedding photography in the UK for couples who love nature & travelAdventurous pre-wedding experiences in Snowdonia, one of the UK's last remaining true wildernesses
Pre-wedding photography experiences in glorious Wales
If you’re an adventurous couple loving nature and travel and are looking for proposal, engagement, anniversary, pre-wedding, or post-wedding photography in the UK – I can help!
I cover Snowdonia, the largest National Park in Wales. It’s only a small but truly charming country here in the UK and home to roughly 26,000 people. It’s a truly magical place and I regularly photograph weddings, elopements, and couples from all over Asia, the US, and other countries here.
Living and working in Wales, I know the area like the back of my hand guaranteeing that you will have a totally bespoke, one-of-a-kind experience in one or more spectacular off-the-beaten-path locations.
Why you should book a pre-wedding photography shoot in the UK
Proposals, anniversaries, engagements, pre-wedding & post-wedding photography sessions, and all things couples. Nothing beats exploring epic locations while making once-in-a-lifetime memories and bringing home romantic pre-wedding photos. Whether you love spending time on a beautiful beach on Anglesey, enjoy exploring the misty forests around Beddgelert, or want to hike up a mountain like Yr Wyddfa…I promise you’ll have the best time here!
Spend just a few hours in one of the UK’s last remaining true wildernesses, plan a half-day adventure, or go all out and spend a full day here, from the coast to the mountains! Snowdonia is only 1.5 hours from Manchester or Liverpool airport and easily accessible by car. There are plenty of super romantic love shacks and scenic Air BnB’s around and if you want to get glammed up and have your hair & make-up done – I’m happy to point you in the right direction for some awesome local suppliers.
My style is natural, romantic, and a tad arty – perfect for epic pre-wedding photography in the UK.
We’re so glad we chose Babs for our pre-wedding photoshoot in Snowdonia! Babs was so friendly from the very first emails exchanged and put us at ease straight away. Our photoshoot really did feel like a mini-adventure, we did loads and Babs had so many great ideas. We’re so happy with the results, the photos look amazing and it was well worth getting in the sea at the end! Will be recommending to everyone.

My top pre-wedding shoot tips
Pre-wedding adventure couple shoots in Wales are a great way to forever remember the excitement you feel as you approach your wedding day. You get to explore stunning locations while getting used to being comfortable in front of the camera. Plus if you come to Wales you’ll get to explore a new country and make pre-wedding memories you’ll treasure forever! So let’s dive in and talk about my top pre-wedding shoot tips.
Best locations for your pre-wedding adventure shoot in Snowdonia
Whether you prefer the dramatic coastlines on Anglesey, the craggy mountainscapes of Yr Wyddfa and Cadair Idris, or the forests around Beddgelert bathed in super soft sunset light – Snowdonia has it all and if you let me know what type of background you envisage for your pre-wedding photography session here, I’m super happy to help you find your picture-perfect spot.
When is the best time to book your pre-wedding adventure shoot in Wales?
Temperatures in Wales are pretty mild from late April right up to late August. During the winter months, we can often experience more than 50 days of rain but don’t let that stop you from booking a pre-wedding photography shoot! Dramatic weather such as heavy rain, strong winds, and even snow makes for beautiful and super dramatic photography. Snowdonia is a popular holiday destination in the UK and from June to August things can get a little bit busy here so you’d probably need to book accommodation well in advance if you’re considering staying here for a few days.
What to wear for your pre-wedding photography session?
This bit really does not need to be tricky – just think about how you’d like to look on your photographs. If you want to go all out and dress up, have professional make-up, maybe have your hair done – do it. Or if you prefer to look like you do pretty much every day – do that instead. It’s really important to feel good about yourself on your pre-wedding photoshoot in the UK so if you’re wearing something you don’t usually wear and it’s making you feel uncomfortable or awkward or super conscious about yourself – don’t wear it.
