North Wales has a way of settling you. The air feels different here – cleaner, quieter, edged with the kind of stillness you only notice when you slow down long enough to take it in. This is where I’m based, and where most of my pre-wedding, engagement and post-wedding sessions take place, although couples find me from all over the UK and far beyond it.
Much of my work centres on Eryri (Snowdonia) – a national park shaped by old rock and weather, where the light changes by the minute and the mountains rise without ceremony. Lakes sit low and glassy. Trails wind through bracken and stone. It’s not polished or overly curated; it just is. And that’s what makes it special.
Couples travel here from Asia, the US, Europe and elsewhere, drawn not by spectacle but by something quieter – space to breathe, to wander, to mark a moment together without the noise of a city or a studio.

When is the best time to book your pre-wedding adventure shoot in Wales?
Temperatures in Wales are pretty mild from late April right up to late August. During the winter months, we can often experience more than 50 days of rain but don’t let that stop you from booking a pre-wedding photography shoot! Dramatic weather such as heavy rain, strong winds, and even snow makes for beautiful and super dramatic photography. Snowdonia is a popular holiday destination in the UK and from June to August things can get a little bit busy here so you’d probably need to book accommodation well in advance if you’re considering staying here for a few days.
What to wear for your pre-wedding photography session?
This bit really does not need to be tricky – just think about how you’d like to look on your photographs. If you want to go all out and dress up, have professional make-up, maybe have your hair done – do it. Or if you prefer to look like you do pretty much every day – do that instead.
