Wales, for the two of you (or with only a few)
Elopements & micro weddings - how it works and how to keep planning simple and personal. check my availabilityThe Experience: from first chat to photos
Let’s start with a simple hello.
Fill out my enquiry form with your date (or rough month), guest numbers (if any), accessibility needs, and the kind of setting/vibe you’re drawn to (coast, mountains, waterfalls – or any other setting). If you’re handling the legal bit separately (registry office / abroad) and want Wild Vows outdoors, tell me that too.
Plans still a bit vague? That’s okay.
If I have availability we’ll have a quick chat to roughly shape the day.
We’ll schedule a relaxed 15–20 minute call so that I can get a feel for you both – what matters, what doesn’t, how simple you’d like to keep things, and how much time you might need (from a ceremony combined with a short adventure ~3 hrs through to something a little longer & personal 6 / 8+ hrs).
Easy booking process.
Once we’ve shaped the outline of your day and it feels just right, I’ll send over a simple agreement and booking fee details so we can lock your date in the diary. The remaining balance isn’t due until four weeks before your day. Prefer WhatsApp for quick comms? Me too.
Support with planning questionnaire + guides.
Once your date is confirmed, that’s when your adventure really takes shape! I’ll send over a short questionnaire and a bundle of free guides to inspire and shape your day. After six years of helping couples create simple, beautiful weddings, I know how to keep things completely fuss-free so that you won’t feel overwhelmed – you’ll only receive useful bits that actually make planning easier.
Personalised location ideas.
It is at this point that I’ll suggest a handful of nature-led locations matched to your brief – each with notes on access, parking, walking time, privacy, and a back-up option. Expect map pins, travel times, and a calm plan that won’t rush you. Here’s a general list of popular locations – not personalised.
A timeline that feels relaxed.
Together we’ll build an unfussy timeline next: how to start the day, ceremony window, a little time for the two of you, a simple toast or snack, and a beautiful adventure for photographs. If the light is shaping up beautifully, we keep space to enjoy it; if the weather turns, we fully embrace whatever the (in)famous Welsh weather throws at us or switch to our back-up plan with no stress.
Helpful local connections.
Need a registry office, ceremony-only venue, celebrant, flowers, cosy accommodation, or a low-key picnic/cake delivery? I’ll share trusted local recommendations that fit your style and budget. Want to strip it right back and don’t need anything? That’s fine, too.
The month before.
We’ll confirm timings, pins, parking, and any last details for family or friends joining. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and suggest tweaks if it helps you stay comfortable and keep things simple.
On the day.
I’ve already supported lots of lovely couples through intimate weddings and elopements here, so you can expect a calm, light-touch approach that keeps you relaxed. No big posing – more gentle prompts and space to be yourselves. We’ll move at an easy pace, with time to breathe and enjoy where you are.
Afterwards.
You’ll receive a set of preview images the following day, and your full online gallery 4-6 weeks after – ready to download, share, and print.
Elopements
If you want a wholesome & feel-good wedding day, mainly for 2 (or a few) – eloping could be for you.
Wild Vows
Perfect if it’s just the two of you saying your vows in a place that feels right – quiet, meaningful, and completely your own.
Micro Weddings
Weddings I love to photograph: home weddings, outdoorsy weddings, small/micro weddings.
Eloping or a micro wedding is the right fit for you if:
You want presence over performance – a stripped-back day with room to breathe, fewer moving parts, and time to actually feel it all. Freedom matters too: choose the place, pace and timing that suit you, whether that’s a small legal ceremony with the fam followed by a relaxed picnic, an afternoon on an advenure before reuniting with your fam for fish & chips on the beach OR a quiet exchange of vows at sunrise or sunset, just the two of you (or maybe with your kids and/or dogs), weekday or weekend.
You’d rather go less-but-better with your budget – invest only in what matters (a cosy stay, travel, photography) and skip the extras you don’t need. You’re happiest when things are calm and unhurried, with intimate vows and a day shaped around the two of you instead of putting on a show.
You’d like it to be just the two of you OR with only a small circle around you – kids and a handful of favourite people are welcome (dogs, too) – so it stays relaxed and personal. And if lo-fi luxury speaks to you – unfussy, nature-led, quietly indulgent – you’ll love simple, personalised plans, thoughtful details, and time to savour them.
Included: planning, photography, vintage camcorder clips, aerial footage (weather & circumstances permitting).
