Wedding Photography

Love being a Wild Pheasant Hotel Wedding Photographer!

I first met the lovely Shane & Sammy over a quick drink on a beautiful sunny day at the Cornmill in Llangollen. Sam told me that they had been let down by another Wild Pheasant Hotel Wedding Photographer. Sadly, they lost their deposit. Unfortunately, that was not the first time I’d heard of a couple being let down. Luckily for Shane & Sammy, I still had availability on their chosen date. The rest, as the saying goes, is history!

We next met on a beautiful Friday evening in July for their pre-wedding mini adventure around Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia. You can see more of that by clicking here. I love adventurous couples that trust me without knowing what to expect! After our pre-wedding shoot, I knew I’d be in for a lot of fun as their Wild Pheasant Hotel Wedding Photographer!

Their fun filled relaxed wedding day started with the groom & bride getting ready at the Wild Pheasant Hotel in Llangollen. Bridal prep is always one of my favourite times of any wedding day. Even more so with a bunch of super nice & funny Welsh girls! It was nice to see them all having a hoot together and I must say Sammy looked absolutely stunning in her Britney Platinum Dress!

The ceremony was lovely. Having waited a long long time to finally get his beautiful bride down the aisle, Shane might have been a tad excited as he shouted out YESSS before the registrar had even finished her sentence ;) :) :)

Following their ceremony and drinks reception, we headed off to the neighbouring field for some relaxed couple portraits. I might have been pushing my luck a little asking the bride to cross a barb wire fence but Sammy took it all in her stride and with the help of Shane and a couple of other strong men she was across it in no time at all. We spent the afternoon listening to some really funny speeches, had some fun with the group shots and then Sammy & Shane just mingled with their nice friends & families until it was time for their first dance.

It was an absolute pleasure to be their Wild Pheasant Wedding Photographer and probably the first (and perhaps only!) time that things ran according to plan. Something tells me Sammy being a manager in the catering industry has something to do with that!

Here’s to a lifetime of love & happiness Mr. & Mrs. Jones – couldn’t have asked for a more laid-back & fun couple! Thanks for picking me as your Wild Pheasant Wedding Photographer xoxo

North Wales Wedding Photographer at Holt Lodge
North Wales Wedding Photographer at Holt Lodge I knew from the very first moment I met Karl and Toni in a local pub that as their North Wales Wedding Photographer at Holt Lodge I was going to have fun. And I wasn't wrong!Bit of a rocky start to their pre-wedding shoot at the stunning Abbey. The weather was not on our side and as we made our way up the hill we saw wildfires were raging across the heather. I couldn't really see anything past my car's bonnet! And so we had to call it a day when the fire service turned us around and sent us back down the hill.Luckily that wasn't a bad omen for their wedding day. Toni & Karl's Weddin ...

Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer I had never been at this particular venue before but it turned out as lovely as I had hoped it would. Being a Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer is definitely fun!Bridal prepFirst things first though. We had to get up super early to be at Tom's place (in Yorkshire) for an 8:00 am start.....not so much fun. I'm the kind of person that snoozes the alarm about 50,000 times and then promptly sleeps in. Still. I spent about half an hour watching Tom and his groomsmen get dressed. Then we headed outside for some group shots. By the time I took pictures of the rings there, I think Tom was beginning t ...
