North Wales Bridal Shoot

In early March we headed into our beautiful little Llangollen hills for a Styled Bridal Shoot. I had worked with Laura Louise at Emily & Adam’s Liverpool wedding in January. We thought that it would be fun to work on a more personal project.  I then came across Jenny’s profile on a modelling site and Laura Louise suggested Leanne to style her hair. Opulence Bridal Wear provided 2 beautiful dresses and my good friend Iain from Iain Ashcroft Furniture | Designer, Maker and Restorer of Fine Furniture very kindly let us use his workshop to get dressed and done up in. I wanted a really natural feel to the shoot and I think Jenny’s stunning auburn hair and pale complexion pulled it off perfectly.

How we set it up

Once hair & make-up were done for this Styled Bridal Shoot we drove closer to the location and started walking up the hill. Even though it was super sunny there was a definite chill in the air. I had taken my dogs to the location of the shoot the previous day and there had been snow. Luckily for us all though all the snow had gone on the day of the shoot. Laura & Leanne carried some touch-up products and the 2 dresses up and I carried my photography gear. Once on the hill Jenny was a real trooper. She must have been proper freezing standing on a windy hill in a flimsy dress. And not only that – she also had to get changed behind a rock!

I really enjoyed this shoot and hope to be able to do some more in the future. So if you’re a supplier looking to connect with other creatives – definitely give me a shout!
