Manchester City Wedding Photographer, Lock 91, Manchester
Here’s a throwback to a stunning and alternative Manchester wedding. In fact, I shot this as a Manchester City Wedding Photographer last September. And I also just remembered that painful parking ticket haha. If you’re one of the cool kids, like Luke & Cheryl here, you absolutely don’t need to spend a fortune to have an amazing wedding day. And, there was a lot going on all around her! This bride just took it all in her stride and kept on smiling. She looked absolutely freaking stunning in her vintage inspired wedding dress. And the groom scrubbed up quite well, too!
Bridal prep was real fun! And after all the hustle and bustle of getting ready, we headed into town to the Register Office for their official bit. Next, we spent some time shooting some gorgeous portraits right in the centre of Manchester. The wedding party had quite a bit of attention from mainly foreign tourists! Including a mother & daughter duo who were on their way to a hen do carrying an actual blow-up doll through town…
Lock 91 Manchester Wedding Reception
From town we made our way (on foot!) to Lock 91, a former lock keeper’s cottage tucked away by the side of the canal. It’s a brilliant & fun reception venue and conveniently located on Castlefield Rocks. It’s not far from a super stunning bridge. After some tasty food – freshly prepared on the barbie right in front of our eyes – the couple had no problem jumping into a taxi with us. We headed to Castlefield for some happy twirling and epic bridge shots. We then headed back to their friends & family who were having a blast sitting out on the terrace watching the world go by right next to the canal.
