I decided within 0.5 seconds after meeting Magda and the girls at The St. George’s Hotel in Llandudno that I was probably going to end up with a massive girl crush on Magda! From the moment I read about their Llandudno Pier Wedding and Welsh elopement plans I knew we were in for a fun day. And, of course, I’m never wrong!

The girls were getting ready at The Roof Top and I could have happily stayed in this room for a very long time. Preferably with a glass (or two) of vino in my hand and lots of time on my hand to enjoy the views! As it stands I walked in pretty much only just before bridal prep was over (much to the horror of the hair & make-up girls haha) to catch a very smiley Magda and her bridesmaid & flower girls putting their beautiful dresses on. Ian & Magda wanted their wedding day to focus on pictures in the mountains of Snowdonia. Therefore, the first half of their day only covered the legal bit in Llandudno’s registry office, which was literally 500m down the road.

I absolutely loved watching the couple exchange their vows in front of Magda’s brother and his family and Ian’s daughter. The ceremony felt really intimate and meaningful and it’s fair to say that Magda looked stunning! After their ceremony they posed for a couple of piccies in the registry office before getting covered in biodegradable confetti outside. From there we walked to Llandudno Pier where I took some more pictures of the wedding party.

Shortly after we drove to some of the finest views Snowdonia has to offer and if you want to see more of the moody part of their elopement, head on over to Ian & Magda’s Welsh Elopement blog post. Then feast your eyes on their totally different wedding adventure!

Welsh Wedding Traditions
North Wales Wedding Photographer As a natural wedding photographer based in North Wales, I am of course super interested in Welsh Wedding Traditions. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Welsh Wedding Traditions is probably St. Dwynwen's Day and Llanddwyn Island not far from Newborough Beach on Anglesey. It's where Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, lived in the fifth Century.  Welsh Wedding Traditions Legend has it that she was one of the prettiest of Brychan Brycheiniog’s 24 daughters. She fell in love with a prince called Maelon Dafodrill, but unfortunately, her father had already arranged for her to marry s ...

How to pick your Winter Wedding Photographer
Winter Wedding Photographer Most winter weddings feature some of my most favourite things. Roaring fires, hot cups of cocoa, warm hearty food, lots of twinkly lights and nice smelling candles are just some of them. It's probably fair to say that the number of winter weddings is on the up which is good news for me! There are many bargains to be had so it's not difficult to see why. Many suppliers - like venues and this Winter Wedding Photographer - are happy to offer extra discounts for what they consider their off season. Even though the days are shorter your winter wedding pictures can definitely still look amazing! What can I expect from ...
