Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer

Wedding Photography

I used to live in Yorkshire and loved it; when asked if I fancied doing groom prep for a photographer friend I obviously jumped at the chance! I hadn’t actually heard of this particular venue before but it turned out as lovely as I had hoped it would. Being a Hazlewood Wedding Photographer is definitely fun!

First things first though. We had to get up super early to be at Tom’s place (in Yorkshire) for an 8:00 am start…..not so much fun. I’m the kind of person that snoozes the alarm about 50,000 times and then promptly sleeps in. Still. I spent about half hour watching Tom and his groomsmen get dressed. Then we headed outside for some group shots. By the time I took pictures of the rings there I think Tom was beginning to feel his wedding nerves.

We followed the boys’ cars to Hazlewood Castle; the views from the castle were stunning! Tom started to mingle with his family and friends and before we knew it it was time to get married! The actual wedding ceremony took place inside this beautiful room in the castle. Once legally married we made our way to the chapel next door for the blessing. Beautiful! His bride Lucy looked super stunning and it was so nice to see the love and affection he clearly has for her during their civil wedding ceremony. There were bubbles on the way out of the chapel (something I hadn’t seen before) and then confetti followed by a Pimms reception outside. I think it is pretty fair to say that one of the highlights for me was a super beautiful fireworks display at the end of the night.

Much love to Rob from Robert Alexander Photographer for asking me to join him as a Hazelwood Castle Wedding Photographer.

Welsh Wedding Traditions
St. Dwynwen's DayAs a relaxed wedding photographer based in North Wales I am of course super interested in Welsh Wedding Traditions. The first thing that comes to my mind when I think about Welsh Wedding Traditions is probably St. Dwynwen's Day and Llanddwyn Island not far from Newborough Beach on Anglesey. It's where Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, lived in the fifth Century. Legend has it that she was one of the prettiest of Brychan Brycheiniog’s 24 daughters. She fell in love with a prince called Maelon Dafodrill, but unfortunately her father had already arranged for her to marry someone else.Dwynwen was ...

I absolutely love being a North Wales Wedding Photographer at Tyn Dwr Hall in Llangollen, one of the area's most beautiful wedding venues.Emma & Dan first met when Dan was looking for a lodger. Fast forward a couple (or 10.....) years and 3 gorgeous girls later and here we all are watching them exchange their vows at St. Collens Church in Llangollen. We'd had a right laugh at their family pre-wedding shoot and it was so much fun getting to know the couple and their 3 little free spirited girls. I honestly could not wait to see them again as their North Wales Wedding Photographer  at Tyn Dwr Hall.A day fu ...

Holt Lodge Wedding Photographer
North Wales Wedding Photographer at Holt LodgeI knew from the very first moment I met Karl and Toni in a local pub that their wedding at Holt Lodge in North Wales was going to be fun. And I wasn't wrong!Bit of a rocky start to their pre-wedding shoot at the stunning Abbey - the weather was not on our side and as we made our way up the hill we saw wild fires were raging across the heather. I couldn't really see anything past my car's bonnet and so we had to call it a day when the fire service turned us around and sent us back down the hill.Luckily that wasn't a bad omen for their wedding day.I spent the ...
