Dan & Nikki’s lovely wedding in Cleveleys

Nikki got ready at the home she shares with her now husband Dan in Thornton-Le-Fylde. I hadn’t actually met Nikki before their wedding day (which is a first!) but had previously worked with Dan. Dan is a super talented Blackpool Wedding Photographer himself (no pressure!) and I was really looking forward to sharing their special day with them both. As soon as I walked through the door I instantly knew we were in for a fun day. It was so nice to see how excited Nikki was and how she could not wait to have her big eye lashes on and wear her beautiful wedding dress :)

I love all the build up and the excitement that’s in the air when brides start to get ready on their big day. As soon as Nikki was dressed, some family members & friends arrived to wish her good luck on this new and exciting chapter in her life over a bottle of Lanson. Then it was time to head to Christ Church Thornton to get married!!! I followed Nikki’s dad and we did an honorary lap (which was fun!) before arriving at the church. I’m possibly the most unlucky Blackpool Wedding Photographer when it comes to annoying parking tickets and churches and so I did a mini dance in my head when I realised there was ample free parking right outside the church, bonus!!!

Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was lovely and their vicar was so friendly, welcoming and relaxed – it was an absolute pleasure to witness Dan & Nikki making their vows, exchanging their rings and seeing the excitement written all over their faces xoxo We stayed for a few relaxed family formals after the ceremony and then made our way to – the beach!!!!

Beach time, baby!

We actually managed to get to the beach twice that day – which was ace! What started off with some relaxed portraits in some muted light in the afternoon ended with an INCREDIBLE sunset at night!!! I almost could not believe when I saw the sky in Clevelys turn into something I can only imagine seeing in California right in front of our eyes, it was magical!!!

After some funny speeches and food, the couple chose not to have an official first dance but had so much fun doing some pretty epic air guitar moves instead.

Such a beautiful and authentic wedding day spent with a beautiful couple, thanks for having me as your Blackpool Wedding Photographer Nikki & Dan x

My favourite wedding venues in North Wales Being a wedding photographer in North Wales is awesome; we are spoilt for choice when it comes to beauty spots and North Wales is fast becoming a well-known hotspot for thrill seekers (Zip World, anyone?).And so it comes as no surprise at all that North Wales features some of the most beautiful wedding venues in the country. Here are some of my personal faves. Gwydir Castle An ancient Welsh house situated in the foothills of beautiful Snowdonia. It is probably one of the finest Tudor houses in Wales and was formerly the ancestral home of the powerful Wynn family. By 1994, the house and garden ...

Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer I had never been at this particular venue before but it turned out as lovely as I had hoped it would. Being a Hazlewood Castle Wedding Photographer is definitely fun!Bridal prepFirst things first though. We had to get up super early to be at Tom's place (in Yorkshire) for an 8:00 am start.....not so much fun. I'm the kind of person that snoozes the alarm about 50,000 times and then promptly sleeps in. Still. I spent about half an hour watching Tom and his groomsmen get dressed. Then we headed outside for some group shots. By the time I took pictures of the rings there, I think Tom was beginning t ...
